What is RotoMoulding Powder?

Rotational Moulding is a plastics moulding process for creating mostly seamless hollow parts. In this high temperature, ambient pressure, open moulding plastic forming process a hollow mould, in the shape of the part to be produced is filled with a charge of resin in powder form and then rotated biaxially. The rotation is at low RPM around 2 perpendicular axes, in a heated oven.

In rotomoulding, it is possible to attain relatively good uniformity of wall thickness. Wall thickness can range from 0.8 mm to 25mm. Similar uniformity in wall thickness is also obtained in double wall construction by the process. Such uniformity of wall thickness is possible because of the smooth rotation of the mould containing a predetermined amount of powder ( usually ground to 25 mesh or 450 microns ).

The process made its appearance in India in the early 70s as it got increasingly used in the manufacture of overhead water storage tanks. In present days Rotational Moulding is growing rapidly as a plastic processing method along with the development of many new moulding techniques.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row bg_type=”image” parallax_style=”vcpb-vz-jquery” bg_image_new=”id^829|url^http://turboplastiblends.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/bbkk.jpg|caption^null|alt^null|title^bbkk|description^null” bg_override=”full”][vc_column][vc_column_text]

LLDPE mostly comes in Granule form having some chemical properties. After adding additional adhesives like UV stabilizers, impact modifiers, color concentrates (Masterbatches) it becomes more good for processing for rotomoulding.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

Why LLDPE & Its Properties

  • Higher Tensile strength than LDPE/HDPE
  • Exhibits high impact and puncture strength than HDPE
  • Best environmental stress cracking resistance.
  • Semi-Rigid, Very tough and weatherproof
  • Good chemical resistant and stable material
